Two king parrots sit together in the warm end of the afternoon, and the whole picture glows. It is the yellows that do it. They pool around the birds and turn an ordinary wall into somewhere the light lingers a little longer than it should. Rooms that face away from the sun want this one badly.
He is red, she is green, and they will stay together for years. Young king parrots are green whatever their sex, and the males only turn in their third year, so a pair like this represents a certain amount of waiting on everybody's part, mine included.
The original oil painting exists only once. A hand signed limited edition of twenty five is also available for anyone who would rather own something few others can. This Yellow Wall Art print brings the same warmth to a dining room or an entry.
On archival fine art paper, produced only when an order is placed. The smaller and medium sizes are printed in my Brisbane studio, and the largest by a specialist fine art printer with a wider press than mine.
