Sleeping Beauty - Koala Art, Original Oil Painting

"My Koala Art piece, Sleeping Beauty, is one of the most personal things I have painted. I gathered the reference at Lone Pine Sanctuary, but it was what our bushfires did to these animals that made me start it, and the branches around him came from references I took across Brisbane's western suburbs. He is completely at peace, high in a eucalypt, which is exactly what I wanted for him.

It was exhibited at the RME Downlands and Nature's Beauty exhibitions in 2021. The original is oil on canvas, hand signed, and it has found its collector.

The story of it keeps drawing people in, which is why the image lives on as a hand signed, numbered limited edition print, the same painting at a far more accessible price, supplied with a Certificate of Authenticity I sign myself.
