Sunrise Opera captures something I find magical about an Australian spring morning, magpies in full song among jacaranda blossoms in their purple prime, the fresh energy of dawn and those uplifting carols rising with the light. I painted it in intricate brushwork and vibrant colour to hold both the drama and the calm of that moment.
