"My Magpie Painting, Sunrise Opera, holds the thing I find most magical about an Australian spring morning. Magpies in full carol, jacaranda in its purple prime, and that particular light at dawn when everything looks briefly unreal. I worked it in fine detail because the drama and the calm of that moment sit right next to each other and I wanted both.
It was selected as a finalist and hung at the Brisbane Rotary Art Show in 2025. It is oil on canvas, one of a kind, hand signed, framed and ready to hang. It ships from my Brisbane studio with free shipping Australia wide, and international enquiries are welcome.
