Two small brown birds among white blossom, and nothing at all is happening. That is the appeal. It is the quietest painting I have made and it goes into bedrooms, hallways and the corners of houses where people go to stop thinking for a minute. Soft green does that to a room.
Brown honeyeaters are plain by parrot standards and have one of the loveliest songs in the country, which strikes me as a fair trade. Grevillea flowers first and they arrive within days, an arrangement that has been running far longer than any of us.
The original oil painting is one of a kind, and a hand signed limited edition of twenty five exists as well. This Green Wall Art print is the gentle way in, and it is the piece people most often buy for someone else.
She is printed to order on archival fine art paper in the size you choose. The small and medium sizes are printed by me in my Brisbane studio, and the largest by a specialist fine art printer working at sheet sizes beyond my press.
