Some paintings ask for your attention. This one just lets you watch. A green rosella has found something worth eating and has given the world nothing else for the next few minutes, and there is something deeply restful about a creature that absorbed in a small pleasure.
I found him in Tasmania, and he is the only rosella you will not meet on the mainland. The largest of them, and the one people travel past without ever noticing. He was entirely uninterested in me, which happens rarely enough that I still remember exactly where I was standing.
The original oil painting is one of a kind, and there will not be another. This Earthy Wall Art print is how the same morning reaches a wall that is not mine.
