"This Australian Bird Painting, Noisy Neighbours, records something I genuinely enjoyed watching. A galah stands tall in a gum, bright pink against the green, observing with curiosity and a distinct edge of irritation while a corella parent feeds its loud and endlessly hungry chicks on the next branch.

At 1530 by 930mm it is one of the largest works I have painted, oil on canvas and hand signed. The original has sold into a private collection.

The scene itself is still available to you. It is also the painting people stand in front of longest, which I suspect has more to do with the corella chicks than the composition.
