They are pressed together among pink blossom and they are not going anywhere. This is the painting people write to me about, usually to tell me where they hung it and who they were thinking of when they bought it. It has been given at weddings, at anniversaries, and once by somebody who had been meaning to say something for years.
It is the most recognised work I have made. Best Feature Animal Subject at the Brookfield Show in 2019, and a finalist at Lethbridge, Stanthorpe and the Ekka. Pale-headed rosellas are quieter than the other rosellas and easier to miss, which is exactly why two of them being still was worth painting.
The original oil painting exists once. A hand signed limited edition of twenty five also exists for anyone who wants something rarer to give. This Wildlife Wall Decor print is the version that goes to more houses, and it says the same thing in all of them.
Every one of these is printed on archival fine art paper to order. The small and medium sizes are printed by me in Brisbane, and the largest by a specialist fine art printer whose press takes wider sheets than mine. Each Wildlife Wall Decor print is matched to the painting first.
