Noisy Neighbours - Bird Art Print, Limited Edition of 5

A Bird Art Print does not usually make people laugh, but this one has a fair chance. A galah watches from a gum tree while a corella feeds its endlessly hungry chicks on the branch below, and the whole scene feels like neighbourhood life with feathers. If you have lived anywhere cockatoos carry on in the trees, you will know this sort of commotion. On canvas at full size, it becomes the artwork guests notice first, then look at again once they understand the joke.

The chicks want feeding now, and then again almost immediately. The corella parent has the worn patience of someone who has not had a quiet minute in weeks. Above them, the galah appears to have formed an opinion about the entire arrangement. It is a small domestic comedy that probably happens in gum trees every spring, though most of us walk underneath and miss it.
