Two Souls - Rosella Print, Limited Edition of 25

This Rosella Print is about the kind of love that lives in small daily gestures. A male pale headed rosella feeds his mate the seed of a crepe myrtle tree, with pink blooms still scattered through the branches and turquoise green holding the whole scene together. It feels familiar because lasting love is often less about grand declarations and more about being there, again and again.

It is the most recognised work I have painted. Best Feature Animal Subject at the Brookfield Show in 2019, and a finalist at Lethbridge 10000, Stanthorpe art prize and the Royal Queensland Show at the Ekka. Pale-headed rosellas are the quiet ones, easily missed among the noisier parrots, which is exactly why two of them sitting perfectly still was worth painting.

The Rosella Print canvas edition is limited to twenty five, a small run for one of my most recognised works. The original oil painting is the work behind this edition, with the numbered canvases offering a more exclusive and affordable way to own the piece of luxury.
