"My Koala Painting, Drop Bear, is an affectionate portrait of the animal everyone recognises and almost nobody gets to see up close. I painted him alert, greeting the day with that unhurried grace koalas have, in warm hues meant to draw the eye and settle it at the same time. The name is a cheeky nod to the old bush legend told to visitors.
He is oil on canvas, hand signed, and finished ready to hang, so nothing is needed but a hook. There is one of him and there will never be another. He leaves my Brisbane studio with free shipping Australia wide, and international enquiries are welcome.
A koala works beautifully as a centrepiece or as a quiet accent in a hallway you pass a dozen times a day.
