He is, and I say this as the person who painted him, ridiculously good company. Round, fluffy, ears like something drawn by a child who got it exactly right, and an expression of mild and permanent surprise. Put him on a wall and people smile at him on the way past, every day, without ever quite meaning to. That is not a small thing to bring into a house.
The name is the joke Australians have been playing on visitors for generations, and he is about as menacing as a cushion. Which is rather the point of him. There is nothing about this koala that asks anything of you at all.
