"My Lorikeet Painting, Exclusive Groomer, came from a tender moment between two scaly-breasted lorikeets, one grooming the other with real care. I am drawn to the small affections between birds far more than to dramatic poses, and this one had everything, the texture of the plumage, the lush green behind them, and that quiet intimacy.
