"My Blue Wren Painting, Floral Affair, is a small burst of happiness and nothing more complicated than that. A variegated fairy-wren beside a single vivid bloom, in yellows and pinks and that impossible blue. It is the kind of thing you only notice if you slow down in a garden, which is half the reason I painted it.
