A Galah Print like this feels like a little moment of country courtship. The male spreads his wings from the timber post while the female sits close beside him on the metal fence. Morning light catches their pink and grey feathers, and the old fence line gives the whole scene a familiar rural warmth.
Galahs pair for life and spend a remarkable amount of that life carrying on, which may be why Australians are so fond of them. It has become my most sold limited edition print, perhaps because people see both the humour and the affection in it.
This Galah Print is available only as a numbered canvas edition of twenty five. There is no original painting for sale and no open edition paper print, so these canvases are the only way this artwork will be released. When the final number is placed, the edition closes. Each Galah Print is produced in Australia on museum grade canvas and checked against the original artwork so the colour, softness and character stay true. A Certificate of Authenticity, signed and numbered by me, comes with every canvas. Free shipping is included Australia wide, and stretching is available if you would like it ready to hang. The Galahs was bought as a gift for our mother at Swapnils last exhibition. It is a very high quality limited edition print, visually indistinguishable from the original painting.
