The pale-headed rosella pair, frequent and cherished visitors to my backyard, became the soul of this painting. Perched gracefully on the branches of a crepe myrtle, vibrant with lush green leaves and delicate pink blossoms, they shared quiet moments of preening and feeding on seeds. Their lifelong bond, a beautiful symbol of enduring love, inspired me to capture this fleeting intimacy on canvas.
