Piggyback Baby - Possum Print, Limited Edition of 25

This Possum Print captures a moment that lasts only a few short weeks. A ringtail possum carries its joey on its back through the trees, while the little passenger sits there completely certain it will be carried wherever it needs to go. Ringtail possums carry their young this way for around six weeks, and then never again. Six weeks out of a whole lifetime. I was lucky enough to discover this mother and joey in my own backyard and sat quietly watching until they disappeared into the canopy. Some moments are worth waiting for.

Only twenty five of this Possum Print will ever exist. Each piece is individually numbered, and once the edition is sold out it will never be reproduced. The original oil painting, a finalist in the Brisbane Rotary Art Show in 2025, now hangs in a single private home.
