"My Possum Painting, Piggyback Baby, came from a moment I was lucky to witness. A mother ringtail possum carrying her joey, her eyes watchful and his simply curious, the whole thing over in seconds. I painted it because that kind of trust is easy to recognise and very hard to hold onto.
It was selected as a finalist and exhibited at the Brisbane Rotary Art Show in 2025. Oil on canvas, one of a kind, hand signed, framed in oak and ready to hang, with free shipping Australia wide. International enquiries are welcome.
It is less a decorative painting than a felt one, which is the only kind I really know how to make. Ringtails carry their young this way for about six weeks and then never again, which is a short window to have caught.
